The End of the Journey
After a three year campaign our TWAC Atlantic journey has come to an end with an amazing event at Bealim House, Gallogate, where thanks to our fabulous sponsors and supporters, and those who acquired our boat and kit, we were able donate £43,350 to our three great North East charities, Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, the Stroke Association and St Oswald’s Hospice.
It has been one amazing journey, the challenges getting to the start line, whilst different, being just as great as the race itself.
We would like to thank all of those who have helped us on our way, you know who you are and more importantly we know who you are, many thanks.
I think the last three years has shown that with a bit of determination and perseverance it’s amazing what you can do. You don’t have to be the world’s best athlete, just have the sort of character prepared to give it a go.
Who knows what we will get up to next, watch this space!
